    Electric Car Gearbox

    We recently took on a very challenging project. An electric car company asked us to design and manufacture two prototype gearboxes for their new compact sedan.  Shown here are the top and bottom housings.  The bottom housing shows a couple roller bearings and the differential. The housing measure approximately 12" x 3" x 21". Machined out of a block of AL6061.
